New Ubuntu Linux Tab
May 20th, 2008 Posted in UncategorizedSince I tend to play around with my Linux installation a little too much sometimes, and I install different distributions of Linux. I tend to need to re-install all of the programs that I use regularly. Because of this I decided to make a step by step guide of How-to install all of them. I also took advantage of the new apturl tool. So it will make it even easier to install programs.
Although it is still a work in progress, if anyone else wants to follow it or have any idea of programs I should put up. Please let me know at jason@slughappy.com.

Dude, I tried the live-disc of the latest Ubuntu a couple of days ago and it crashed. It started to boot, I came back, and saw a screen of pretty colors — that was all. Not responsive to any of my inputs.
Maybe it was a bad DL or a bad burn but I was bummed.
Also… any idea if Linux has a program similar to Windows Media Center? I got that HD Tuner for my PC. Hoping that if/when I make the Linux jump that it’s still supported.
